Teamwork: The Key to TFB’s Success

The Fauquier Bank seeks Excellence through an Engaged and Empowered Team, building valued Relationships with our Customers and Community.

The foundation of The Fauquier Bank’s new vision are five corporate values:

  • Excellence
  • Engagement
  • Empowerment
  • Teamwork
  • Relationships

Recap: Since August, we have discussed The Fauquier Bank’s first three corporate values, Excellence, Engagement, and Empowerment. Through an attitude of Excellence and an Engaged mindset, TFB employees come to work with a desire to assist customers to the absolute best of their abilities. The Fauquier Bank also believes that by Empowering our employees, we will share the empowerment with our communities, friends, neighbors, and families. Marc Bogan, President and CEO of the Bank, says, “doing the right thing” and “looking for an opportunity to make a difference” are key to empowerment. At TFB, we teach our employees values that are useful outside of work.

The Fauquier Bank’s fourth corporate value is teamwork. Teamwork is defined as “the combined action of a group of people, especially when effective and efficient.” Teamwork is the true key to TFB’s success. Each employee is a member of the TFB team. Marc Bogan says, “[A] Team is something you choose to be a part of, and you choose to contribute to, and something of which you earn the right to be a part.” TFB employees choose to work as a Team every day in an effort to deliver excellent service to our communities. Bogan adds, “Our hard work, sacrifice, and common effort will allow our Team to be infinitely more successful together than we ever could be by ourselves.”

According to Bogan, “we should encourage each other and look for ways to lift each other up.” This belief and practice goes further than the Bank. As a team, we encourage our friends, families, and neighbors to practice our core values. Just recently, the Bank partnered with Community Touch, Inc. to collect food for families in need. Thanks to team members like you, we collected Thanksgiving feasts for many families within our communities.

We are thankful to everyone who is a part of The Fauquier Bank’s team. Our communities flourish when we work together. Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
